Welcome to Democracy Digest

Welcome to the first edition of Democracy Digest: the official blog of PSCI 1150: U.S. Elections!

PSCI 1150 is a course unlike any other. It’s historic: the largest elective in the history of Vanderbilt University. Offered every four years during the presidential election cycle, this course draws in over 1,000 students to learn about the intricacies of the American electoral process and its relationship to democracy from distinguished professors and presidential historians Joshua Clinton, John Geer, Nicole Hemmer, and Jon Meacham.

The purpose of this blog is to recap lectures and class discussions so that anyone and everyone can stay up to date with current events and hear the latest insights from the professors and special guest speakers.

While the outcome in November remains uncertain, one thing is for sure: this class is going to be one heck of a ride, so buckle up!
